Communities Foundation of Texas to launch new volunteer matchmaking profile on the Bumble app
(DALLAS, Texas -February 28, 2022) Communities Foundation of Texas in partnership with Bumble, a Texas-based dating and networking app, have created a month-long initiative to promote volunteerism throughout the younger community.
“Bumble has done exceedingly well with connecting individuals, specifically in the Gen Z community, which we (CFT) have been trying to connect with,” Noelle LeVeaux, chief marketing officer, said. “CFT hopes to get Gen Z excited to volunteer through this new feature.”
Bumble’s platform allows users to pick one of three ways to connect with others: Bumble Date, Bumble Bizz and Bumble BFF. Through this partnership, Bumble is set to launch Bumble BGood, a new avenue where users can scroll through nonprofit organizations located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
There are 100 nonprofits from the DFW metroplex that will have Bumble BGood profiles when the new feature launches. These profiles will allow users to view quick details about the organization as well as volunteer opportunities and dates.
“With users swiping through potential matches, we are able to give the participating organizations more exposure,” Communities Foundation of Texas CEO David Scullin said. “We are extremely excited to see Bumble’s algorithm at work.”
Bumble and CFT will be hosting pop-up events every Saturday in April throughout the metroplex to connect the community with volunteer opportunities. Event schedule is below, locations TBD.
Event Schedule:
April 1, 2022 @ 5 p.m. - Launch party
April 9, 2022 @ 1 p.m. - Picnic at the park pop-up
April 14, 2022 @ 2 p.m. - Pet Show pop-up
April 16 @ 10 a.m. - Coffee Mingle pop-up
April 23 @ 11 a.m. - pop-up
